About Author Cecelia Davis

Author
Cecelia Davis

Cecelia lives in south Kansas City with her husband. Paul and Cecelia are the Children's Directors at First Assembly of God in Raytown, MO. They also work with 5-6 year old boys on Wednesday night in a program called Royal Rangers. They have 2 grown children, a son and daughter, and three granddaughters.

Cecelia enjoys watching the animals outside as they commune with each other in a way that most animals do not. Ground hogs go nose to nose with the squirrels and rabbits. A red cardinal feeds a bird that is much larger than itself and of a different species. A raccoon the size of a dog wonders through the back yard. A squirrel comes up to the back door begging for food and then brings a ground hog with it to beg. All of this is seen through the kitchen window. In the front yard a deer goes nose to nose with a cat or stops to nibble a rose. There is plenty of story material to choose from.

A book of devotions titled Notes From Johnny is in the making supposedly being written by Johnny Windsor. The fictional character is portrayed as a child being trained by a godly family to love the Lord and to pray for others in Heaven’s Mission. In Heaven’s Mission for a New Generation, Johnny is portrayed as an associate pastor and in Love Turns Lethal: Heaven Prevails, he is shown as the senior pastor.

Future book titles are Memoirs of J. T. Windsor. The book will show the deepest thoughts of Jonathan Thomas Windsor (Johnny) and his life, as though written by the character himself.

Favorite Scripture Verse
Throughout the entire series of Heaven's Mission, Cecelia's favorite scripture has been:
Jeremiah 29:11-13.
11: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
12: Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13: And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Cecelia has used this scripture passage throughout the books.
